Business Intelligence Specialist (Data-Mining) (m/f)

You will be part of our SCOPE Team and will directly report to our Head of SCOPE. Your ultimate goal is to provide the tool set for non technical business departments to make use of the vast amount of data gathered by the platform for optimizing revenue generation and supporting senior management in their decision taking.

Your Responsibilities

• Identify information needs for revenue assurance, steering sales activities and decision taking by senior management. Serve as project lead for BI projects.
• Evaluate, improve and tune existing information flows in the organization.
• Convert data into information.
• Participate in the design and implementation of business monitoring and information capturing in the core trading platform to provide the basis for downstream data analysis.
• Document existing data flows and highlight improvement opportunities in the data usage processes.
• Develop code and end-to-end solutions for internal business users.

Your Profile

• Proven track record of being able to work independently and achieve targets in a timely manner. Exceptional attention to detail. Capability to multi-task and manage priorities.
• 3+ years of business intelligence and data mining development. Master degree or PhD in computer science is a plus. An MBA is a plus.
• Expert knowledge of the underlying tool chain like Hadoop, Oracle, SQL, BIRT, Pentaho.
• Experienced in the design of data warehouse data models.
• Outstanding trouble shooting and reasoning skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong Java, Hibernate and SQL development skills.
• Strong math background in statistics. Background in artificial intelligence is a plus.
